"Every year my wife and I venture to the One of a kind winter show in Toronto looking for unique crafts from local artisans. For the 2022 winter edition, we found Le Point Visible. Upon entering the booth we saw so many beautiful quilts and throws on display. After Claudel showed us what was available, the choice was obvious for us, the "Question de Perspective” throw. This quilt was selected as a finalist in an artisan contest organized by Fabrique 1840 of Simons. The attention to detail in the stitching and the choice of fabrics resulted in a visually beautiful piece but also provided great texture and feel, something I was not expecting in a quilt.
We were now set on getting a custom made Queen size quilt to complement this quilt. We started the design process with Marilyn and chose vibrant colours grounded in earth tones with different fabric textures. Marilyn provided us with so many creative ideas but stayed true to the look and feel we desired. The resulting quilt design met all of our expectations and we could hardly wait to receive it, Marilyn made the process so easy for us.
Upon receiving the quilt, we were amazed and so happy. Another masterpiece of true craftsmanship with attention to the smallest details and a labour of love. The choice of fabrics, textures and colours created the three dimensional look we were looking for. A hand-written note from Marilyn was included and put the cherry on top! This quilt will stay with us for years and be handed down to others as the start of a family heirloom.
Thank you so much to the Le Point Visible team, we look forward to our next project with you."
