An exceptional piece, an artistic collaboration
This unique piece is the fruit of over a year's collaboration with textile artist Paula Bouffard. She applied dozens of natural plant dyes (acacia bark, avocado, etc.) to various recycled textiles.
Inspired by working with raw materials and the harmony of natural colors, quilter Marilyn Armand has taken up the creative baton. She explores the element of texture for the creation of this quilt. How, by working with quilting techniques (assembly, choice of fabrics, topstitching, etc.), can she create a movement as rich as the elements that make up her natural everyday environment?
Le jeté Dune or awakening the senses
The culmination of this process of creative and technical exploration is a quilt from which emanates an immediate impression of nature. If you were lucky enough to lie down on it, you'd get the feeling of a beach, grains of sand and the smell of the seaside...

Special maintenance and care
Naturally dyed textiles (vegetable dyes) require extra care. Here are the specific care instructions:
-Avoid leaving the throw in direct sunlight (even indoors). Sunlight is a natural bleaching agent and may alter the color.
-Wash with PH-neutral soap (avoid abrasive, acidic stain removers, as they may alter color). The aim is to use natural detergents, with no stain-removing or bleaching agents (eco-friendly or "skin-friendly" brands).
-Cold water wash, gentle cycle
-Dry flat (avoid direct sunlight, e.g. on a clothesline). You can use a tumble dryer or a door frame.
