Thought of as an ode to spring picnics, Picnic no.1 transforms memories of shared meals, checkered patterns, and bursts of color into a unique textile piece.

Picnic no.1 is a textile throw with unusual proportions, designed in a format of 45 x 70 inches. A unique piece that finds its place on a wall as well as in moments of rest, laid on a sofa, a bed, or even outside during a sunny afternoon.

Inspired by the early days of spring and the simple pleasure of impromptu picnics — checkered tablecloths, small bites to share, colorful potlucks, conversations that stretch — this work celebrates spontaneous moments and imperfect gatherings that make these times so vibrant.

Techniques 

Here, nothing is perfectly straight, and that is intentional. The composition remains organic, intuitive, and lively.

The back, made with ultra-soft brushed cotton, offers a cozy texture that invites you to snuggle underneath.

The machine-stitched daisy detailing, done on a robotic longarm, evokes flower-filled fields and the promise of summer days.
