An emotional gift
After hours of painstaking work and reflection to complete the quilt, the long-awaited day arrived: their father's 70th birthday. Here's the touching message we received shortly afterwards:“Hi Marilyn!
I hope you're well. We've finally given the fruits of your labor to our father on his birthday. Oh my goodness! There are no words to describe all the emotions he experienced. He couldn't believe the idea we'd come up with, and spent the evening displaying his quilt everywhere. He even slept with it... In short, a very happy man! You can be proud of the exceptional job you did, our father couldn't have asked for more.”
Their father's reaction to this unique gift was overwhelming. His quilt, affectionately nicknamed “La Richard”, has become much more than a birthday present. It's a token of love, a tangible record of the memories he shared with his daughters and the passions that shaped his life.
